Arkansas Tattoo/Piercing License Lookup

I've had quite a few customers ask me to verify artist licenses. I'm going to show you how to do it yourself and understand what you are seeing.

1. Go to: https://bodyart.adh.arkansas.gov/Public/OnlineLicenseLookup.aspx

   
   

   

   2. If you know the name then enter it in the boxes, I would suggest selecting All Licenses and leave License Type empty.

   
   

   

   
   

   You can tell many things from this page. This is my licensing. It shows the following(in order):

   #8212- My PMU licensing

   #3622- Temp Permit for a convention

   #3625- This is an important designation, it shows that I transferred my licensing from a different state.

   #6531- Shows my PMU Apprenticeship License, this shows that I got my training here in Arkansas.

   #3624 My Tat, Piercing and Scarification Licensing

   #3623-My Trainer/Teacher Licensing

3. Here is a screenshot showing Licensing and showing how they completed an apprenticeship here in Arkansas and was licensed after. They did not transfer from another state, they are a new artist.

   (Fun fact, this is actually a local person who's apprentices tell people she has 20 years experience, lol)

   

4. If you have an artist that you met on Facebook, or whatever, and they are telling you it's cool to tattoo you in their hotel room or trying to get a deposit from you online, check them out!!!
